Stena Line signs major deal with Peel Ports to operate at Heysham Port until 2100
Leading ferry and port operator, Stena Line has signed a significant deal with Peel Ports Group, a major UK port operator, to operate from Heysham Port for the next 77-years until 2100. The Swedish ferry company runs a twice daily freight service from Belfast-Heysham providing a vital trade corridor between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK.

Stena Line has confirmed plans to launch a new freight service between Dublin and Birkenhead (Liverpool) starting mid-February 2024. The new service will initially operate with one ship departing Dublin early in the morning and making the return journey from Birkenhead in the evening.

Stena Line discontinues route between Nynäshamn in Sweden and Hanko in Finland from 20 October
Swedish ferry operator Stena Line today announces the discontinuation of its route between Nynäshamn in Sweden and Hanko in Finland. The main reason being failing demand from freight customers due to the development of the current geopolitical situation. The route will operate until 20 October, when both vessels on the route will be redeployed in the charter market or within the Stena Line fleet.

Stena Line boosts freight capacity on Irish Sea with two all-new NewMax hybrid vessels
Two all-new hybrid propulsion vessels designed to run on methanol and adding 80% capacity on the Belfast-Heysham route will respond to increasing customer demand for capacity and sustainability performance. Construction of the NewMax vessels will begin shortly with launch on the Irish Sea in 2025.
