Sustainability
Here are five ways we bring sustainability into our food and beverage offer:
1. Certified seafood
All of the fish and seafood we serve is certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) or the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC). These certifications ensure the seafood we serve comes from responsibly managed sources that prioritise environmental impact.
2. More plant-based options
We’re growing our range of plant-based dishes. Around 30% of our casual dining menu is already vegetarian or vegan, and we’re always experimenting with new ways to make vegetable-based meals more accessible, appealing and satisfying.
3. Quality coffee
Whether you’re having a cappuccino or an Americano, every coffee we serve is Rainforest Alliance-certified. This means it’s farmed with respect for the environment, using climate-smart methods while ensuring the rights and livelihoods of farming communities are protected. The Rainforest Alliance also promotes biodiversity.
4. Lower carbon meals
We’re sourcing ingredients with lower climate impacts and providing clear climate footprint information on our menus. This transparency empowers customers to make informed choices that are better for the planet while also helping us track and reduce overall emissions.
5. Minimising waste
We’re using a production forecast tool to accurately estimate how much food to prepare. This helps us minimise waste. And by measuring plate waste, serving waste and galley waste, we can identify other areas where we can work to reduce food waste further.
We believe every small step adds up to meaningful change. Do you have ideas for other sustainability improvements we can make? Please let us know by emailing [email protected]
