Accommodation Refurbishment Lead (m/f/d)

As the Accommodation Refurbishment Lead, you will be the main point of contact for our commercial organisations, colleagues within Fleet Operations and external suppliers regarding the updating of our vessel interiors and passenger areas. You will lead the assigned accommodation team for planned refurbishment projects while providing leading support for all accommodation work during normal operations and dry dockings.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Implementation: Oversee maintenance, repair, and conversion projects for hotel equipment on the Stena Line fleet during guest operations and dry dockings.
- Purchasing & Negotiations: Conduct project-related purchasing and negotiations with suppliers, coordinating closely with Group Procurement for spare parts and consumables.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure planning approval with class and other applicable authorities in collaboration with Fleet Operation
- Quality Assurance: Perform routine vessel visits and inspections to maintain high-quality standards.
- Market Analysis: Collaborate with Procurement to select suppliers, service providers, and materials through active market analysis.
- CAPEX Projects: Execute projects related to CAPEX, including budget planning and follow-up for loose furniture, catering and culinary equipment, laundry equipment, and hotel areas.
- Team Management: Plan, manage, and supervise the Accommodation Riding Team according to specific work schedules, replacing external contractors as needed.

Qualifications:
- Completed studies in the fields of Naval/Civil engineering, Naval/Civil architecture, Interior Design or comparable
- At least 3 years’ experience in Cruise/Ferry sector or equivalent preferably within accommodation refurbishment
- Experience in managing technical projects in a maritime environment
- Knowledge of international maritime regulations (e.g. SOLAS) and understanding of Technical Drawings
- Confident handling of common MS Office
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong organization, delegation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team
