Stena Line’s Onboard sales & service department has a crucial part in this journey. We provide on our vessels the services in the hospitality outlets, we ensure that all our passengers can sleep well, eat delicious food and enjoy a relaxed crossing. With our 6 ships in the region North sea we can transport up to 2800 passengers every day!
Do you have experience in the hotel industry and is it time for the next challenge?
As regional F&B coordinator, you organize, prioritize, and make things happen! This role is a critical support role for the Onboard sales & services department, and you will play an integral role to provide support to the vessels with the execution of our F&B strategy. Ensuring compliance with the company standards and procedures. You will work behind and in front of the screens to optimize our assortment, make sure we focus on operational excellence and don’t lose out of sight the customer centricity. You will travel on the ships and occasionally work from the office to ensure that you can manage all ongoing F&B projects and coordinate them accordingly.
The Regional F&B coordinator will report into the Regional Onboard sales & services manager North Sea region, who is responsible for the OSS department in the North sea region.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Optimize the level of sales and gross profit within the department ensuring the onboard teams and activities are fully aligned to KPI targets.
- Ensure highest level of customer service in line with service standards.
- Ensure full alignment to all company strategies and guidelines including company F&B strategy, service standards and customer experience model.
- Stock– ensure procedure and policies are always adhered to. Stock on hand values to be maintained within target levels. Minimize product wastage, shrinkage and manage fraud prevention.
- Ensure application and adherence to all relevant corporate policies e.g. Company safety and quality policy, Senior master’s standing orders, Food safety policy etc.
- When appropriate manage stock ordering, receipt, system input and transfer process.
- Carry out onboard checks regarding HACCP and galley cleaning schedules.
- Enter and maintain recipes in Star chef.
- Responsible for Menu creation, optimization of F&B range in collaboration with group F&B.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationship through regular meetings and communications & Coordinate purchase department actions
- Ensure digital signs in bars have the correct content, collaborate with the Digital team.
- Create Planograms for F&B outlets and roll out planograms and supervise them.
- Control and supervise quality and control presentation food plates/overall food & beverage presentation/Fiche technical sheet
- Coordinate in Food & Beverage actions, providing support with production of printed materials including: menus, special events collateral, events menus and signage, etc.
- Maintain onboard QR codes
- Maintain till systems
- Coordinate F&B projects, identifying goals/problems and structuring and driving solutions
- Supervise Quality and delivering of menu’s (passengers, Crew, freight)
- Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for reference purposes
Who are you?

The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Hotel Management (work and thinking level)
- knowledge relevant legislation and regulations
- At least 2 years of managerial experience & 4 years operations experience preferably in a hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge Microsoft Office required, including Excel, outlook, teams & Power point.
- Must be able to communicate professionally in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
- High level of problem-solving abilities and proactivity.
- Strong at multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment
- Professionalism, positive attitude and a team player is a must
- Proven ability to always communicate with diplomacy and tact.
