As the Group Head of Fleet Decarbonisation, you will be accountable for leading our decarbonisation initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, advancing environmental sustainability, and driving economic value through improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. You will also play a key role in enhancing our market reputation and future-proofing operations with innovative, forward-looking decarbonisation strategies.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and execute the decarbonisation strategy (roadmap), policies and programs to reduce company’s environmental impact together with the team
- Establish mid-term and long-term CO2 reduction goals in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Advise senior management on investments connected to the decarbonisation of our operation such as alternative fuels (e.g., methanol, LNG, hydrogen, biofuels), energy-efficient engine upgrades, and carbon capture technologies
- Ensure adherence to international compliance and reporting regulations and maintaining transparent reporting practices
- Oversee continuous monitoring and improvement by regularly reviewing performance against targets and making necessary adjustments to strategies and technologies
- Communicate decarbonisation KPIs, targets, actions and achievements with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee fuel and emission strategy and trading within Stena Line and act with internal and external stakeholders in accordance with availability of fuels, available tonnage and future commercial needs
- Sponsor decarbonisation initiatives and innovation initiatives within Stena Line and the wider Stena Group

Qualifications:
- Academic degree in Marine Disciplines (e.g., Engineering, Nautical Science, or Naval Architecture) or equivalent
- Extensive experience in managing a decarbonization agenda within the maritime industry
- Proven project management experience
- Management/leadership experience
- Experience from working onboard is considered an advantage
