Are you our new Motorman?
Work on the waves and play on the shore! We are currently recruitng Motormen to join our Irish Sea fleet. We have positions available onboard our Cairnryan-Belfast, Holyhead-Dublin and Fishguard- Rosslare routes. We are also looking for a number of Motormen to work in Fleet based roles allowing you to use your skills to provide support on our ships across the Irish Sea while using the opportunity to gain knowledge.

Someone who is comfortable being self-dependent and keen also to be part of a small hard working& dedicated deck team.
Responsibilities:
- Your tasks as a motorman are diverse and as such you will have the opportunity to use and develop your problem solving skills in a wide range of scenarios. As a Motorman you are responsible for:
- Your designated areas of responsibility as allocated by the Chief Engineer/Second Engineer standing work routines, planned maintenance jobs, operational duties and general maintenance of parts of vessel managed by the chief/ second engineer including cleaning, painting and greasing.
- Acting in accordance with your responsibilities in the vessels emergency organisation.
- Carrying out engine room watch keeping duties as directed
- Carrying out engine room fire and safety patrols as directed
- Assisting in the maintenance of all engine room firefighting and safety equipment as directed by second engineer.
- Be familiar with the relevant parts, procedures and requirements of the SMS contained within the DOCMAP system.
- Take an active interest in the duties above your rank to ensure confidence in stepping up and ability to be hands on.
Qualifications and experience:
- Engine Room watching rating certificate
- Passenger vessel experience is preferred but not essential. On job training will be provided.
We are looking for someone with the right attitude to learn new things and improve themselves within a well organised innovative and safety conscious organisation.
