Product Manager Food UK
Are you a commercially driven individual with a passion for success?
Operationally reporting to the UK Team Leader and functionally to the Group Product Food Manager, the role will require working across the relevant business areas, working with stakeholders in developing a local and global purchasing strategy and delivery plan. The role will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of current procurement agreements, working closely with partners in developing the assortment to the benefit of customers and R&F.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the strategic development of food purchasing across the UK business whilst integrating with the group strategic plan
- Responsible for ensuring best value in line with brand according to the category
- Ensure all contracts are in place to obtain best terms and preserve supply
- Work with Internal and External customers to ensure maximum revenue potential across all activities
- To consolidate the number of SKUs where possible to drive purchasing efficiencies whilst being flexible enough to quickly adapt to new trends
- Work closely with OBS support team
- To support our own and our customers Food Safety activities
- Responsible for regular supplier reviews
- To provide structure and ensure products are available as required in a timely manner

This role operates within R&F Travel Retail – a division of Stena Line – acting as the purchasing partner for Stena Line as well as other organizations outside the Stena Line group of companies. Founded in 1979, R&F has more than 40 years of experience of travel retail, supplying airports, ferries and embassies in Northern Europe with a wide range of products such as perfumes, confectionary, spirits, fashion and food.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with the F&B and or Hospitality sector with strong fiscal skills and a proven track record of achieving organic growth in a high volume, multi-site F&B environments.
- A sound understanding of the drivers that affect profit & loss, and a proven ability in the sustained delivery of best practice.
- An articulate communicator and team leader – facilitative, approachable and empowering, with strong relationship skills, good intellect and the presence and determination to influence and succeed at all levels
- A demonstrable ability to lead and motivate teams that exceed customer expectations and deliver sustainable high performance.
