Hotel Repairman
We are currently recruiting a Hotel Repairman to join our Cairnryan/Belfast route. This role will allow you to use your skills to provide support to the engine room team while having the opportunity to develop within a supportive setting.
As an Engine Rating, you will work with planned maintenance jobs, operational duties and general maintenance of parts of the vessel managed by the Chief/ Second engineer. The job also includes cleaning, painting, and greasing. You will work closely with the Deck, Onboard Sales and Services, and Galley teams to ensure our guests have the best possible experience.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Acting in accordance with your responsibilities in the vessel's emergency organisation.
- Carrying out engine room watch-keeping duties as directed.
-Carry out daily inspection of crew and passenger accommodation spaces report/rectify any faults found. Work with onboard management to ensure problems are rectified in a timely manner as not to impact on service. Work with onboard management to ensure sufficient spares for critical equipment are kept onboard.
- Carrying out engine room fire and safety patrols as directed.
- Assisting in the maintenance of all engine room firefighting and safety equipment as directed by the second engineer.
-Carry out maintenance/repairs of all fixture and fittings in crew, passenger and galley related spaces. This will include toilet vacuum systems, fresh and grey water systems. Help out in the engine room as and when required.
- Be familiar with the relevant parts, procedures and requirements of the SMS contained within the DOCMAP system.
- Take an active interest in the duties above your rank to ensure confidence in stepping up and the ability to be hands-on.

Qualifications
Fluent in English
Basic STCW training and ENG1 certificates
Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats training
Engine Watch Rating certificate (III/4) OR Able Seafarer Engine (III/5) CoC
Passenger vessel experience is preferred but not essential.
Experience in roles including plumbing, carpentry, welding and general maintenance is preferred.
