Chief Engineer

Are you a Senior Engineer looking for a great work-life balance? Stena Line are looking for a chief engineer to join the team on Stena Superfast 8.

As a Chief Engineer you will be directly responsible for the safe and efficient running of the engine room. You will be directly accountable to the Fleet Superintendent and the Senior Chief Engineer in the execution of your duties.

Your tasks as a Chief Engineer are diverse and as such you will have the opportunity to use and develop your problem-solving skills in a wide range of scenarios.

 Qualifications:

Essential Certification:

• STCW Elementary First Aid
• STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
• STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
• STCW Personal Survival Techniques
• STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats
• Chief Engineer Unlimited COC – applicants must hold this certification at the time of application
• Proof of Right to Work in the UK

Preferred Certification:

• Crowd Management Training
• Passenger Safety Training
• High Voltage – Management Level
