At Stena Line, our Port Operations Team plays a crucial role in supporting safe, efficient and reliable freight operations. We are looking for motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our team as Port Service Operatives in Immingham. This is a hands-on operational role where you'll contribute to the safe loading, unloading and movement of freight while helping to deliver the high operational standards that Stena Line is known for. Previous port operations experience is preferred; however, we also welcome applications from candidates with experience operating HGVs, Tugmasters, agricultural machinery, plant equipment or other large vehicles who are looking to develop their career within a port environment.
Some of your key responsibilities
- Safely operate Tugmasters and other port equipment in line with Stena Line procedures.
- Assist with vessel mooring, loading and unloading operations.
- Marshal freight and passenger vehicles during embarkation and disembarkation activities.
- Carry out trailer movements, shunting and other terminal operational activities.
- Support passenger and caravan operations through the terminal.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and operational efficiency across the terminal.
- Participate in safety briefings, emergency response exercises and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience operating large vehicles or machinery such as Tugmasters, HGVs, agricultural machinery, plant equipment or similar.
- Previous port, terminal or RoRo experience is preferred.
- Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Basic IT skills and willingness to learn Stena Line operational systems.
- Flexibility to work shifts and operationally required hours.
