Talent Acquisition Partner
Location - Glasgow
Contract - Temporary for 10 months (Maternity Cover)
Salary- £37,000 - £40,000 DOE
Behind every great journey at Stena Line is a team of talented people—and we're looking for someone who is passionate about finding them.
Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? As our Talent Acquisition Partner, you'll play a key role in attracting, engaging and hiring talented colleagues across the UK and Ireland. From operational maritime roles to specialist positions, you'll help shape the future of Stena Line by ensuring we continue to build diverse, high-performing teams that keep our business moving.
At Stena Line, recruitment is about more than filling vacancies. It's about creating positive candidate experiences, supporting managers to make informed hiring decisions and ensuring we attract people who share our values of being welcoming, caring and reliable. If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, solving challenges and making a real impact on a business, this could be the opportunity for you.
As many of the roles you will recruit for are onboard our vessels, experience within the maritime, marine, shipping or crewing industry would be beneficial. An understanding of maritime certification requirements, compliance standards and the unique challenges of recruiting for seagoing roles will help you quickly build credibility with stakeholders and candidates. However, we are equally interested in recruiters with transferable experience who are eager to learn about our industry.
Some of your key responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for both internal and external recruitment campaigns
- Partner with hiring managers and stakeholders to deliver recruitment solutions that meet business needs
- Conduct candidate screening, shortlisting, interviews and selection activities
- Ensure all recruitment activity is completed within agreed timelines and in line with relevant legislation and company processes
- Verify candidate qualifications and certification requirements where applicable
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external recruitment partners
- Create engaging recruitment advertising and support employer branding initiatives while identifying effective recruitment channels
What you will experience
You will become part of a supportive and collaborative Talent Acquisition team that is passionate about delivering excellent service to both candidates and hiring managers. Working closely with operational and business leaders across multiple locations, you'll have the opportunity to influence recruitment strategies and contribute to attracting the talent that supports our continued success.
At Stena Line, we believe that an inclusive and caring culture helps people perform at their best. We encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous development, while also creating opportunities to connect through team activities, wellbeing initiatives and social events. You'll join a business where your ideas are valued, your development is supported and your contribution genuinely makes a difference.
Benefits
As a Stena Line employee, you'll enjoy a competitive benefits package which includes:
- Concessionary travel on Irish Sea and North Sea routes
- 75% discount on UK Rail travel
- Company pension and life assurance
- Gym and wellbeing discounts
- Wellbeing cash plan
- Enhanced parental leave
- Cycle-to-work scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Ongoing training and development
Who you are
At Stena Line your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. Regardless of your role, our behaviours welcoming, caring and reliable guide you in your everyday work and the challenges you face. We are looking for someone who enjoys building strong relationships and can confidently engage with candidates, hiring managers and external partners alike. You are organised and able to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the details. As recruitment often involves balancing competing deadlines, you remain calm under pressure and are comfortable adapting to changing business needs. You have a proactive mindset, enjoy finding solutions and are motivated by delivering a positive experience for everyone involved in the recruitment journey. You are also naturally curious and enjoy learning about specialist roles and industries. While previous experience recruiting within the maritime, shipping or crewing sector would be an advantage, what matters most is your ability to understand role requirements, build strong relationships and confidently navigate complex recruitment processes.
Qualifications
- Experience working within recruitment, talent acquisition or a similar HR-related role
- Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes across multiple vacancies
- Knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment legislation
-
Experience or knowledge of maritime, marine, shipping, offshore, or crewing recruitment, including an understanding of maritime certification requirements and compliance considerations for seagoing roles, would be advantageous
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment technology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
