Our approach
As a transportation company, we have long recognised our impact on the environment from our own operations. We started using on-shore power back in 1990, and we were the first shipping company to convert one of its vessels to methanol. In recent years, however, the urgency and scale of effort required to tackle climate change has come into focus. This, together with new corporate reporting legislation and stakeholder expectations, is leading us to intensify our work.
We want to become a leader in reporting and driving down Scopes 1, 2 and 3 emissions. Our ambition is to operate with zero emissions in the future, through the use of clean electricity and renewable fuels. We want to contribute to a sustainable transport infrastructure by offering a sustainable fuel supply to enable intermodal solutions. We want to understand our impact upstream and downstream from our own operations, so that we can address our full environmental impact.
