Women in maritime
What did you want to become when you were a kid?
In my teens, I wanted to be a photographer. And I worked as it for a while, but it hardly paid the bills. I had to go back to school to study marketing and business development.
Why did you choose to work within shipping?
In the beginning, I applied for a specific position at Stena Line, without knowing much about ships or shipping.
Today I think it’s the best job in the world. I learn something new and develop further every day; not many people can say that they do. And these giant ships, aren’t they exciting?
What is your best work-related memory?
I am lucky to have many good work-related memories, including meeting my husband at work!
A great memory from my time at Stena Line was to be part of the team that launched new digital initiatives on Stena Estrid 2020. This is definitely something I will look back on and be proud of.
Who is your role model?
I have several role models that I can relate to, they are all Swedish female entrepreneurs. Elin Kling, Isabella Löwengrip and Anine Bing, all show that women can also build empires.
