Stena Line join forces with transport giants to make Scandinavia’s largest port fossil-free
In an effort to speed up the transition to fossil-free fuels in the transport sector, Stena Line, Volvo Group, Scania and the Port of Gothenburg have joined forces to bring about a significant reduction in carbon emissions linked to the largest port in the Scandinavia. The aim is to cut emissions by 70 per cent by 2030.

New names for our ships on the Baltic sea revealed
The names of the two modern RoPax ferries are now official! Both ferries are due to start operating on the route between Nynäshamn in Sweden and Ventspils in Latvia during 2021 and will add a further 30 percent freight capacity and offer an attractive alternative way to travel on the Baltic Sea.

Stena Line with shore power supply in Kiel
This week's inauguration of the spectacular façade of the new shore power facility in makes it official: Stena Line now powers 14 vessels at seven terminals with on-shore electricity during port stay, thus decreasing the exhaust of emissions in Kiel. The measure leads to savings of 900t of fuel and 2,700t CO2 per year.

25 years of success on the Irish Sea
On Thursday, 12 November, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the relocation of our ferry services to Belfast from Larne in 1995. During this time, we have achieved a number of key milestones including transporting in excess of 33 million passengers, 7 million cars, and almost 7 million freight units.
